IBC Table 721.1(1), Item 5-1.1 (Reinforcing steel in reinforced concrete columns, beams, girders and trusses): protection by Carbonate, lightweight and sand-lightweight aggregate concrete, members 12" or larger, square or round. (Size limit does not apply to beams and girders monolithic with floors.) Minimum insulating material thickness — 4-hr: 1-1/2" · 3-hr: 1-1/2" · 2-hr: 1-1/2" · 1-hr: 1-1/2". Prescriptive protection from the adopted building code — see table footnotes for conditions.
