IBC Table 721.1(2), Item 11-1.2 (Noncombustible studs—interior partition with plaster each side): 3-3/8" x 0.055" (No. 16 carbon sheet steel gage) approved nailable (k) studs spaced 24" on center. 5/8" neat gypsum wood-fibered plaster each side over 3/8" rib metal lath nailed to studs with 6d common nails, 8" on center. Nails driven 1-1/4" and bent over. Minimum finished thickness (face-to-face) — 2-hr: 5-5/8". Prescriptive assembly from the adopted building code — thicknesses are code minimums, see table footnotes for conditions.
