IBC Table 721.1(2), Item 5-1.1 (Glazed or unglazed facing tile, nonload-bearing): One 2" unit cored 15 percent maximum and one 4" unit cored 25 percent maximum with 3/4" mortar-filled collar joint. Unit positions reversed in alternate courses. Minimum finished thickness (face-to-face) — 3-hr: 6-3/8". Prescriptive assembly from the adopted building code — thicknesses are code minimums, see table footnotes for conditions.
