IBC Table 721.1(2), Item 8-1.1 (Solid neat wood fibered gypsum plaster): 3/4" by 0.055-inch (No. 16 carbon sheet steel gage) cold-rolled channels, 12" on center with 2.5-pound flat metal lath applied to one face and tied with 0.049" (No. 18 B.W. gage) wire at 6" spacing. Neat gypsum plaster applied each side. Minimum finished thickness (face-to-face) — 2-hr: 2 (d)". Prescriptive assembly from the adopted building code — thicknesses are code minimums, see table footnotes for conditions.
