TESTED to NFPA 285 at Southwest Research Institute on April 28, 2022, and passed all criteria (WoodWorks Solution Paper 'CLT Exterior Wall Assemblies Meet NFPA 285'). Exterior wall of 3-ply, 4-1/8 in (105 mm) CLT with interior face exposed, faced outboard with 5/8 in Type X gypsum sheathing, a combustible WRB, and 2 in of 8 pcf mineral wool insulation; tested without cladding in a balloon-frame configuration. Note: NFPA 285 compliance is pass/fail for exterior fire propagation, not an hourly rating — the source does not state an hourly rating for this base wall, so 1 hour is a placeholder only.
