TESTED NFPA 285 assembly published in DrJ TER 1407-05 (Kingspan GreenGuard insulation boards, Type I-IV construction; issued 2014, current revision 2026). Table 6 assembly: 18-gauge, 3-5/8 in minimum galvanized steel studs at 24 in o.c. max with 5/8 in gypsum wallboard on the interior, one layer 1/2 in exterior-type gypsum sheathing, 4 in GreenGuard XPS continuous insulation, Tremco ExoAir 230 WRB, and Glen-Gery thin veneer brick on a cement board substrate. NFPA 285 compliance itself is pass/fail; the TER states a one-hour ASTM E119 rating 'is achieved with the fire exposure from either side' for this fire-rated base wall.
