3-Hour Fire Rated Floor-to-Floor Joint — FF-D-0001
UL System FF-D-0001 (category XHBN) — Floor-to-floor expansion joint up to 1" wide in a min 4-1/2" thick reinforced lightweight or normal weight structural concrete slab. A polyethylene or polyurethane foam backer rod is set in the joint as a permanent form, recessed from both slab surfaces. Pensil 300 or SpecSeal SIL300 silicone sealant is applied flush with both floor surfaces: min 1/2" thickness for 2 hr, min 1-1/2" for 3 hr (self-leveling SIL300SL permitted on the top surface). Nominal joint width up to 1"; movement capability 12.5% compression or extension.
