2-Hour Fire Rated Floor-to-Floor Joint — FF-D-1006
UL System FF-D-1006 (category XHBN) — Floor-to-floor joint up to 4" wide in a min 4-1/2" reinforced lightweight or normal weight structural concrete slab. The lower portion of the joint is packed with 4 pcf mineral wool batt cut to min 2-1/2" widths, installed edge-first and compressed min 33%, recessed from both slab surfaces. Preformed two-component silicone foam sheets (Pensil 200) min 1-1/4" thick are tightly fitted into the joint flush with both floor surfaces, with a min 1/4" bead of Pensil 300 / SpecSeal SIL300 sealant at the concrete-to-foam interface and at butted seams. Nominal joint width up to 4"; movement capability 15% compression.
