3-Hour Fire Rated Wall-to-Wall Joint — WW-D-0001
UL System WW-D-0001 (category XHBN) — Wall-to-wall joint in a min 4-1/2" thick reinforced concrete wall (or UL Classified concrete block), joint width up to 1". A polyethylene or polyurethane foam backer rod is installed in the joint as a permanent form, recessed from both wall faces. Pensil 300 or SpecSeal SIL300 silicone sealant is applied within the joint flush with each surface: min 1/2" thickness for the 2-hr rating, min 1-1/2" for the 3-hr rating. Nominal joint width up to 1"; movement capability 12.5% compression or extension.
