Section 2B.32 Two-Way Left-Turn-Only Signs (R3-9a and R3-9b) and Plaques Guidance: 01 A Two-Way Left-Turn-Only (R3-9a or R3-9b) sign (see Figure 2B-6 ) should be used in conjunction with the required pavement markings where a non-reversible lane is reserved for the exclusive use of left-turning vehicles in either direction and is not used for passing, overtaking, or through travel. Option: 02 The post-mounted R3-9b sign may be used as an alternate to or a supplement to the overhead R3-9a sign.
