Section 2G.09 High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Plaque (W16-11P) Option: 01 In situations where there is a need to warn drivers in an HOV lane of a specific condition, the HOV (W16-11P) plaque (see Figure 2G-4) may be used above a warning sign. The HOV plaque may be used to differentiate a warning sign applicable to the HOV lanes when the sign is also visible to traffic on the adjacent general-purpose roadway.
