Section 2I.07 Chain-Up Area Signs (D5-15 and D5-16) Guidance: 01 If an area has been provided for drivers to pull off of the roadway to install chains on their tires, a Chain-Up Area Advance (D5-15) sign (see Figure 2I-6 ) should be installed in advance of the chain-up area, and a D5-16 sign (see Figure 2I-6 ) should be placed at the entrance to the chain-up area.
