Section 4A.06 Meanings of Pedestrian Signal Indications Standard: 01 Pedestrian signal indications shall have the following meanings: A. A flashing WALKING PERSON (symbolizing WALK) signal indication has no meaning and shall not be used. B. Pedestrians facing a steady WALKING PERSON (symbolizing WALK) signal indication shall be permitted to start to cross the roadway in the direction of the signal indication, possibly in conflict with turning vehicles.
