Section 8D.13 Warning Beacons or LED-Enhanced Warning Signs at Grade Crossings Option: 01 Warning Beacons (see Section 4S.03) or LEDs within the legend, symbol, or border of the sign (see Section 2A.12) may be used to supplement warning signs installed at or on an approach to a grade crossing if additional emphasis is desired for the warning sign. The Warning Beacon or LED-enhanced sign may operate continuously or be activated upon the approach or presence of rail traffic.
