12.04 SECTION 12.04 SIGN-PANEL OVERLAY 12.04.01—Description: Work under this item shall consist of furnishing and installing a plywood overlay of the type specified to cover an existing sign where shown on the plans or where directed by the Engineer. 12.04.02—Materials: Plywood shall have a minimum thickness of 1/4 inch and shall be exterior grade A-C as designated by APA. The wood preservative shall be of a type that will have no adverse effect on paint adhesion and will not cause future paint discoloration. Primer shall meet the requirements of A-A-2336.
