Bridge paint systems per AZ standard coating specifications. Organic zinc-rich primer per AASHTO M 300, epoxy intermediate coat, and urethane or fluoropolymer topcoat. Surface preparation: SSPC-SP 10 near-white blast cleaning. Dry film thickness verification per SSPC-PA 2. Coating application within environmental limits: surface temperature minimum 5°F above dew point, relative humidity <85%, air temperature 40-120°F.
All work under this section shall comply with ADOT current standards and applicable AASHTO, ASTM, and federal requirements. The Engineer has authority to accept or reject materials and workmanship that do not conform to the specifications.
