Project documentation requirements include daily diaries, quantity records, material certifications, test reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings. Daily diary entries include: weather, crew size, equipment on site, work activities, quantities placed, test results, visitors, and safety incidents. Caltrans uses electronic documentation systems. Final project records submitted within 60 days of project acceptance. Record retention per federal requirements: minimum 3 years after final voucher.
