5-3Work Zone Traffic Control

Work zone traffic control design follows MUTCD Part 6 and FL standard traffic control plans. All work zone designs require a Transportation Management Plan (TMP) for significant projects per FHWA Rule 23 CFR 630 Subpart J. Temporary pavement markings shall be retroreflective tape or paint. Minimum lane width in work zones: 11 ft (10 ft with engineering study). Speed reduction through work zones limited to 10 mph below normal posted speed.
