Concrete inspection covers batching, placement, finishing, and curing. GDOT acceptance testing: compressive strength cylinders per AASHTO T 22 at frequency of one set per 50 cubic yards or per day. Slump testing per AASHTO T 119 at point of placement. Air content per AASHTO T 152. Temperature limits: minimum 50°F, maximum 90°F at placement (hot/cold weather provisions apply). Curing: 7 days minimum wet cure or membrane curing compound at specified rate.

All work under this section shall comply with GDOT current standards and applicable AASHTO, ASTM, and federal requirements. The Engineer has authority to accept or reject materials and workmanship that do not conform to the specifications.
