GA · 2024 Standard SpecificationsBook pages 3536View official source ↗

Utility coordination follows FHWA regulations (23 CFR 645) and GA utility accommodation policy. Utility relocations required when existing facilities conflict with the project design. GDOT coordinates with utility owners per the Utility Accommodation Policy manual. Longitudinal utility installations within Interstate ROW require specific approval. Utility adjustment costs may be eligible for federal participation per FHWA policy when on public ROW under prior rights.

All work under this section shall comply with GDOT current standards and applicable AASHTO, ASTM, and federal requirements. The Engineer has authority to accept or reject materials and workmanship that do not conform to the specifications.
