101Pre-Construction Conference

The pre-construction conference is held before work begins on all ODOT projects. The Resident Engineer coordinates attendance by the contractor, subcontractors, utility companies, and OR field staff. Topics include project schedule, traffic control plan review, environmental commitments, utility conflicts, submittals schedule, progress payment procedures, and safety requirements. Meeting minutes are distributed within 5 working days.

All work under this section shall comply with ODOT current standards and applicable AASHTO, ASTM, and federal requirements. The Engineer has authority to accept or reject materials and workmanship that do not conform to the specifications.
