Grade tolerance: ±0.05 ft for subgrade, ±0.02 ft for fine grading under pavement. Cut slope ratios per design plans; typical: 2:1 for soil, 0.5:1 for rock. Embankment slope: 2:1 minimum, 3:1 or flatter near structures. Unsuitable material removal and replacement as directed by the Resident Engineer.
