M-201Portland Cement Testing

Portland cement acceptance per AASHTO M 85 (Types I, II, V) or M 240 (blended cements). Required tests: fineness (AASHTO T 153), time of setting (AASHTO T 131), compressive strength (AASHTO T 106), soundness (AASHTO T 107), and chemical analysis (AASHTO T 105). Supplementary cementitious materials: fly ash (AASHTO M 295), slag cement (AASHTO M 302), silica fume (AASHTO M 307). ODOT cement testing at source with Certificates of Compliance.

All work under this section shall comply with ODOT current standards and applicable AASHTO, ASTM, and federal requirements. The Engineer has authority to accept or reject materials and workmanship that do not conform to the specifications.
