Portland cement concrete (PCC) paving inspection covers slip-form or fixed-form paving operations. Thickness tolerance: average not less than plan thickness, no individual measurement <0.5 inch deficient. Surface smoothness: Profile Index ≤7.0 inches/mile for Interstate, ≤12.0 for other routes. Dowel bar alignment: ±0.25 inch vertical, ±1/4 inch horizontal per dowel. Tie bar spacing and depth per design. Texturing: transverse tining per UT standard detail. Curing compound application within 30 minutes.
All work under this section shall comply with UDOT current standards and applicable AASHTO, ASTM, and federal requirements. The Engineer has authority to accept or reject materials and workmanship that do not conform to the specifications.
