The pre-construction conference is held before work begins on all VDOT projects. The Resident Engineer coordinates attendance by the contractor, subcontractors, utility companies, and VA field staff. Topics include project schedule, traffic control plan review, environmental commitments, utility conflicts, submittals schedule, progress payment procedures, and safety requirements. Meeting minutes are distributed within 5 working days.
