Mercer Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT)
Grades published as "1.4V 875 = V2", "1.4V 750 >= V3" and "1.8M >= E1". Eight standard layups in 3-, 5-, 7- and 9-ply. Thickness range 3.24 in (82.5 mm) to 12.40 in (315 mm); maximum panel 12 ft wide by 60 ft long. Species SPF, SYP and DF-L, with Hem-Fir described by the manufacturer as anticipated mid-2026 certification - RECORDED AS AN ANTICIPATED CERTIFICATION AND NOT AS A HELD ONE. CSI: payload said 06 17 00 (Shop-Fabricated Structural Wood) and NO RETRIEVED MERCER PAGE PRINTS A CSI NUMBER. Filed at the payload value rather than substituting a guess, per the run 709 rule that the address is read off the manufacturer document. NOTED FOR A LATER RUN: run 699 established from Nordic Structures ICC-ES ESR-4875 that the correct child section for CLT is 06 17 19. That is another manufacturer document, so it is recorded as the likely refinement rather than applied here. *** PLANT ATTRIBUTION IS INCONSISTENT ACROSS TWO PERMITTED FIRST-PARTY PAGES AND IS NOT RESOLVED HERE. The /products/ index attributes CLT product reports to CONWAY (APA PR-L347) and OKANAGAN (APA PR-L314, PR-L314(C)). The CLT product page states "Spokane and Conway facilities produce CLT". Okanagan and Spokane are different sites, so either a plant has been renamed or relocated, a report has been transferred, or one page is stale. BOTH STATEMENTS ARE CARRIED; NEITHER IS PREFERRED AND NEITHER IS DISCARDED. It matters because an APA product report is plant-specific - a specifier relying on PR-L347 needs to know which plant their panels come from. It is an ask in letter 133. *** DATASHEET DELIBERATELY NOT LINKED: robots.txt disallows every PDF on this host, so the APA product reports were NOT retrieved and their numbers are recorded as designations named by the manufacturer in permitted HTML, not as documents we hold.
Certifications & Standards
What was checked, and what is deliberately not claimed
- Anticipated_not_held
- Hem-Fir is described by the manufacturer as anticipated mid-2026 certification. It is recorded as anticipated and is NOT included in the certified species list. A future certification is not a certification.
- No_fire_rating_claimed
- NO fire-resistance rating, char rate, UL or Intertek design number, or ASTM E119 result is published on any permitted page, and NONE is claimed. Any hourly rating for a CLT assembly is a property of the tested assembly, not of the panel - the same refusal run 716 made on Carboline coatings and run 709 made on Metal Sales.
- Code_compliance_claim_not_adopted
- The /products/ index states the products are "Compliant with IBC, NBCC, and other North American codes". THAT BARE CLAIM IS NOT FILED AS LINKAGE AND CARRIES NO WEIGHT HERE. A manufacturer asserting IBC compliance in general names no section, no edition and no test, and is precisely the kind of unfalsifiable statement this library exists to replace. The linkage on this row rests entirely on the PRG 320 designation, which is checkable.
