Steel Rigid Metal Conduit (RMC)
Wheatland does not print standards on the RMC product page itself. The standards block comes from the manufacturer's own EMT and Conduit Brochure (PDF on wheatland.com), which lists, against RMC specifically: UL-6, ANSI C80.1, ANSI/ASME B1.20.1, Federal specification WW-C-581 (replaced by UL), NEC Article 344 and NFPA 70 NEC 250.118(2). The same document lists a DIFFERENT standard set against EMT (UL-797, ANSI C80.3, NEC Article 358), against IMC (UL-1242, ANSI C80.6, NEC Article 342) and against rigid ALUMINUM conduit (UL-6A, ANSI C80.5). The per-product separation is the manufacturer's own and has been preserved exactly.
Certifications & Standards
What was checked, and what is deliberately not claimed
- Why This Section And Not Another
- FP-24 721.01(a)(2) uses «conforming to», not «listed and labeled». A manufacturer that names a standard without claiming a listing can satisfy the first verb and not the second. This row is evidence for the first only.
