Final Acceptance

The work is substantially complete with all corrective work completed. The contractor is relieved of maintenance responsibilities as of the date of final acceptance. Force Account. Work performed by the contractor at the engineer’s direction. Formwork. A temporary structure or mold used to retain and resist the operations of placing a plastic or fluid material in a designated shape until the material hardens. General Description. The information that appears in the bid proposal before the general notices that consists of specific project related information that may include, but is not limited to; location, description, completion time, prospective bidders notes, anticipated notices to proceed, special notices, bidding criteria, construction sequence notes, road user costs, modifications to liquidated damages, addenda issued, questions and answers published, prebid meeting transcripts, construction items units of measure, and table of contents. Acceptance of the completed work by the Commissioner upon the recommendation of the Regional Director. Prior to the final acceptance the contract work may be inspected, accepted and approved by other agencies and/or municipalities who will have jurisdi ction of the work after contract completion.
