An amount identified as the value of a lane or lanes to be occupied by the Contractor in performance of the contract. The total amount bid for lane rental is the total value that can be used by the Contractor in performance of the contract. If additional value is used by the Contractor, that amount will be deducted from the payments to be made to the Contractor. Laying Length of Pipe. Feet (laying length) of pipe shall be measured by multiplying the number of whole units by the nominal length of each unit and adding thereto the length of any fractional units incorporated in the work. The nominal length of a unit or fractional unit shall be the inside measured length from butt end to butt end and exclusive of the bell or groove on the female end.
