Specialty Engineer

An individual Engineer may become a Department -approved Specialty Engineer if the individual meets the Professional Engineer experience requirements set forth within the individual work groups in Chapter 14 -75, Rules of the Department of Transportation, Florida Administrative Code. Department -approved Specialty Engineers are listed on the State Construction Website. Department -approved Specialty Engineers will not be authorized to perform redesigns or Cost Savings Initiative Proposal designs of items fully detailed in the Plans.
