Section 202 — Additional Clearing and Grubbing

Description

202.01This work consists of clearing and grubbing outside the clearing limits specified in Section 201.

202.02Definitions.

(a)Selective clearing. Clearing where some trees and vegetation are designated to remain.

(b)Selective clearing and grubbing. Clearing and grubbing where some trees and vegetation are designated to remain.

(c)Special clearing and grubbing. Clearing and grubbing where all trees and vegetation are removed. (d) Removal of individual trees or st umps. Removing individual trees or stumps outside the clearing limits designated in Section 201 or outside areas designated in Subsections 202.02(a) through (c).

Construction Requirements

202.03General . Clear and grub according to Section 201. Clear, grub, and dispose of trees, snags, brush, downed timber, stumps, roots, buried logs, moss, turf, grass, and other vegetation designated to be removed. Do not push, pull, or fall trees into trees designated to remain. Remove designated debris by methods that prevent damage to vegetation not designated to be removed. Cut trees to within 4 inches of the existing ground. Remove and dispose of designated trees or stumps according to Subsections 203.05 and 203.07. Dispose of clearing and grubbing debris according to Subsection 203.07. 202.04 Acceptance. Additional clearing and grubbing will be evaluated under Subsection 106.02. Clearing and grubbing will be evaluated under Section 201.

Measurement

202.05Measure the Section 202 pay items listed in the bid schedule according to Subsection 109.02 .

Payment

202.06The accepted quantities will be paid at the contract price per unit of measurement for the Section 202 pay items listed in the bid schedule. Payment will be full compensation for the work prescribed in this Section. See Subsection 109.05 .
