1303 – HOLLOW LOAD-BEARING CONCRETE MASONRY UNITS 1300 - 3
1303.1 Description
This specification covers hollow load-bearing concre te masonry units made from portland cement, water, and suitable mineral aggregates with or without the inclusion of other materials.
1303.2 Requirements
Provide normal weight, masonry units that comply with ASTM C 90 unless otherwise designated in the Contract Documents.
1303.3 Methods of Test
Use the methods specified in ASTM C 90.
1303.4 Prequalification
None Required.
1303.5 Basis of Acceptance
Acceptance of hollow load-bearing conc rete masonry units will be based on satisfactory results of tests conducted on samples submitted to the Engineer of Tests.
