477 — REPOINTING EXISTING MASONRY 2026 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS CATEGORY 400 STRUCTURES SECTION 477 — REPOINTING EXISTING MASONRY 477.01 DESCRIPTION Clean and repoint existing masonry as shown in the Contract Documents. 477.02 MATERIALS All mortar shall meet the requirements specified in 903.06 and match the color of existing mortar as nearly as possible. 477.03 CONSTRUCTION Thoroughly clean the existing joints of all loose mortar and foreign material for a minimum depth of twice the width of the joint or 1 in. from the face of the masonry whichever is greater.…
