1031 CLAY DRAIN TILE 1031.1 Scope. This specification covers clay drain tile. 1031.2 Clay Drain Tile. Clay drain tile shall be in accordance with AASHTO M 179, except paragraphs 6.3, 6.5 and 7.4 will not apply. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, only Type II, Extra-Quality or Type III, Heavy-Duty Drain Tile, shall be furnished.
