1081 COATING OF STRUCTURAL STEEL 1081.10 PROTECTIVE PAINT SYSTEMS. 1081.10.1 Scope. This specification covers coating new and existing bridges and structures made of structural steel and miscellaneous metal with protective paint systems. 1081.10.2 Systems of Coatings. The required system and color or choice of systems and color will be specified on the plans.
