MUTCD E7-4: Post-Interchange Travel Time Sign
The E7-4 sign is covered in Section 2E.49 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 11th Edition. Below are the provisions from that section that describe when the sign is used and how it is placed.
What it means and when it is used
- Standard · Required (shall)If used, the Post- Interchange Travel Time (E7-4) sign (see Figure 2E- 51) shall replace of the Post-Interchange Distance sign in the series of post-interchange signs (see Section 2E.47).
- Standard · Required (shall)The Post- Interchange Travel Time sign shall comply with the provisions of Paragraph 1 of Section 2E.47 with the following exceptions: A. The distance shall be replaced with a changeable message element to display the current travel time to the applicable destination; and B. The abbreviation MINS shall follow the changeable message element.
