MUTCD I3-8: Light Rail Transit Station Sign

The I3-8 sign is covered in Section 8B.26 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 11th Edition. Below are the provisions from that section that describe when the sign is used and how it is placed.

What it means and when it is used

  • Option · Permitted (may)
    The Light Rail Transit Station (I3-8) sign (see Section 2H.01) may be used to direct road users to an LRT station or boarding location. It may be supplemented by the name of the transit system and by arrows as provided in Section 2D.08.
