MUTCD R14-1: TRUCK ROUTE Sign
The R14-1 sign is covered in Section 2B.66 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 11th Edition. Below are the provisions from that section that describe when the sign is used and how it is placed.
What it means and when it is used
- Guidance · Recommended (should)The TRUCK ROUTE (R14-1) sign (see Figure 2B-31 ) should be used to mark a route that has been designated to allow truck traffic.
- Support · InformationSection 2D.20 contains information regarding the use of the TRUCK (M4-4P) auxiliary plaque (see Figure 2D-5 ) on a designated numbered alternative route.
