MUTCD R4-2: PASS WITH CARE Sign
The R4-2 sign is covered in Section 2B.37 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 11th Edition. Below are the provisions from that section that describe when the sign is used and how it is placed.
What it means and when it is used
- Guidance · Recommended (should)The PASS WITH CARE (R4-2) sign (see Figure 2B-10 ) should be installed at the downstream end of a no- passing zone if a Do Not Pass sign has been installed at the upstream end of the zone.
