MUTCD W1-10: Combination Horizontal Alignment/Intersection Signs
The W1-10 sign is covered in Section 2C.09 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 11th Edition. Below are the provisions from that section that describe when the sign is used and how it is placed.
What it means and when it is used
- Option · Permitted (may)The Turn (W1-1) sign, the Curve (W1-2) sign, and the Reverse Curve (W1-4) sign may be combined with the Cross Road (W2-1) sign or the Side Road (W2-2 or W2-3) sign to create a combination Horizontal Alignment/Intersection (W1-10 series) sign (see Figure 2C-1 ) that depicts the condition where an intersection occurs within or immediately adjacent to a turn or curve.
- Standard · Required (shall)The use of the combination Horizontal Alignment/Intersection sign shall be in accordance with the provisions of Section 2C.07 for the appropriate Turn or Curve sign .
