MUTCD W1-13: Truck Rollover Sign
The W1-13 sign is covered in Section 2C.11 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 11th Edition. Below are the provisions from that section that describe when the sign is used and how it is placed.

- Option · Permitted (may)A Truck Rollover (W1-13) sign (see Figure 2C-1 ) may be used as a supplement to a horizontal alignment warning sign to warn drivers of vehicles with a high center of gravity, such as trucks, tankers, and recreational vehicles, of a curve or turn where there are: A. Past incidents of truck rollovers at the specific location, B. High volumes of trucks, or C. A speed differential (see Section 2C.06) that might pose a…
- Guidance · Recommended (should)Where engineering judgment determines the need for the installation of a Truck Rollover (W1-13) sign, it should be located downstream of the horizontal alignment warning sign in advance of the curve.
