MUTCD W1-7: Two-Direction Large Arrow Sign
The W1-7 sign is covered in Section 2C.43 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 11th Edition. Below are the provisions from that section that describe when the sign is used and how it is placed.
What it means and when it is used
- Standard · Required (shall)The Two-Direction Large Arrow (W1-7) sign (see Figure 2C-10 ) shall be a horizontal rectangle.
- Standard · Required (shall)If used, the Two-Direction Large Arrow sign shall be installed on the far side of a T-intersection in line with, and at approximately a right angle to, traffic approaching from the stem of the T-intersection.
