MUTCD W6-4: Narrow Two-Way Traffic Sign
The W6-4 sign is covered in Section 6H.17 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 11th Edition. Below are the provisions from that section that describe when the sign is used and how it is placed.
What it means and when it is used
- Standard · Required (shall)The Narrow Two-Way Traffic (W6-4) sign (see Figure 6H-1 ) shall be an upright, retroreflective orange- colored sign placed on a flexible support and sized at least 12 inches wide by 18 inches high.
- Standard · Required (shall)Narrow Two-Way Traffic signs shall not be placed within pedestrian crossings.
