Do you need a permit?
Little Rock requires a permit for general building work.
No permit is needed for a job costing $5,000.00 or less, materials and labor combined, where no inspection is called for. Also excluded are residential fencing under 7 feet tall, residential roofing, paint, floor coverings and cosmetic updates, along with detached single-story accessory buildings of 200 square feet or less in floor area serving as tool sheds, storage sheds, playhouses and the like.
