The Office of State Fire Marshal current-codes page states of the 2018 volumes, the Energy Conservation Code among them: "The following 2018 Codes were effective from January 1, 2019 and are currently effective," and describes the 2018 cycle as based on the 2015 International Codes. A transition window ran 2018-07-01 to 2018-12-31 during which the 2018 and the prior 2012 volumes could both be used.
