Do you need a permit?
Columbus requires a permit for electrical work.
Modifying or updating an electrical box requires a permit but not plan review. Electric for a solar photovoltaic system, temporary or freestanding service up to 200 amps during construction, and secondary service distribution are on the Approved Minor Work Permit List for one, two and three family dwellings.
