Fees follow the Planning and Development Services Fee Schedule, Exhibit A to Resolution No. 26-151, effective June 1, 2026. Commercial and multi-family permit fees are based on the declared valuation of the work under Table 1, which starts at $325.00 for valuation up to $2,000 and reaches $22,594.50 for the first $5,000,000 plus $3.00 for each additional $1,000. Permit fees for detached houses and duplexes are computed from floor area under Table 2, which starts at $1.00 per square foot or $300.00, whichever is greater, for 0 to 500 square feet. Boat docks, detached garages, permanent accessory buildings over 320 square feet and retaining walls are valued at $75.00 per square foot and then priced through Table 1. A non-refundable plan review fee of 35 percent of the building permit fee is due at submittal. Reinspection, emergency and same day inspections are $200.00 each, revisions to issued permits are $75.00 per hour, and work done without a permit carries a penalty equal to the permit fee. Table 2 as published contains an error: the bracket that should read 501 to 1,000 square feet is printed as Effective June 1, 2026.
