Permit fee schedule ↗ · fee schedule checked August 2026

Plano commercial permit fees are valuation based using Table 1, new residential is charged per square foot, and a plan review deposit of 65 percent of the building permit fee applies and is not refundable. The governing document is the Building Inspections Department Fee Schedule adopted by Ordinance 2025-11-4 on November 10, 2025 and effective January 2, 2026, which repealed Ordinance 2020-3-6. Under the current schedule the first re-inspection is $75.00, rising to $100.00, $125.00 and $150.00 for later ones, and after hours or Saturday inspections are $200.00. The short link the city advertises for its fee schedule still served the superseded 2020 document when checked.
