UtahSpanish Fork

Shed permit checklist — Spanish Fork, Utah

Assembled from Spanish Fork’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.

Do you need a permit?

Spanish Fork requires a permit for a shed.

When a permit is not required

Spanish Fork requires a building permit for every accessory structure — sheds, gazebos, detached carports and detached garages are all treated as accessory structures. There is no size exemption from the permit itself, but Municipal Code 15.3.24.090(A)(1)(a) makes permits free of charge for structures under 200 square feet or otherwise exempt from the adopted Building Code.
