Smooth-Star Fiberglass Entry Door
A paint-grade fiberglass entry door collection. Therma-Tru own 3-part specification describes the Smooth-Star face sheet as a proprietary fiberglass-reinforced thermoset composite of 1/16 inch minimum thickness - the same construction it gives Fiber-Classic, and thinner than the 3/32 inch minimum it gives Classic-Craft. The collection page presents it as a ready-to-paint, smooth-surfaced alternative to a steel door. Written by BuildSpec from the manufacturer retrieved pages; no marketing copy reproduced.

- undefined 2021 C402.5.4Maximum air leakage rate for fenestration assemblies
Table C402.5.4 sets a maximum air leakage rate for swinging doors and names the test procedure as AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440 or NFRC 400, with ASTM E283 at 1.57 psf named for curtain walls. The manufacturer 3-part specification for this product cites NFRC 400 and ASTM E283 by designation in its Part 1.3 references. Both ends are documents we retrieved and both name the same test procedures. THIS RECORDS THAT THE PRODUCT IS SPECIFIED AGAINST THE PROCEDURE THE CODE NAMES. IT DOES NOT ASSERT THAT SMOOTH-STAR MEETS THE 0.20 CFM/FT2 LIMIT, because the manufacturer publishes no tested rate - obtaining one is the first ask of the outreach letter.
